First Drag Racing India event at Aamby Valley air strip. Ten time World Drag Racing Champion – Rickey Gadson will be present at the inauguration ceremony and will be seen offering tips and advice to participants.
The Valley Run 2013, India’s first International Level Drag racing event is being held at the Aamby Valley City Air Strip. The 2 day run is scheduled for March 9 – 10, 2013. There will be a host of super cars, super bikes, both foreign and Indian which will be seen participating in these upcoming events which are sure to cause quite a lot of excitement among Indian fans.
Ten time World Drag Racing Champion – Rickey Gadson will be present at the inauguration ceremony and will be seen offering tips and advice to participants. He will also participate in an exhibition run on a ZZR1400 Monster Energy. The competition is thrown open to professional race car drivers and the general public who will be able to participate in various categories from 100cc to 225cc 2 stroke bikes, diesel cars over the 3001 cubic capacity. A total of 300 supercars bikes and modified cars and bikes are expected to participate which will have to adhere to strict scrutiny and safety guidelines laid down by FMSCI.
The Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI) recently celebrated their 40th year, and felicitated past presidents and honoured 2012 Championship winners. Vicky Chandhok, President, FMSCI, had this to say, “The FMSCI has grown leaps and bounds over the last 40 years and this was to commemorate all the people who have made it possible. We are in a very important era of motorsport in the country and it is crucial that we build from here. We also wanted to honour the winners from the different categories of motorsport in the country from last year and we hope to have a bigger and better year of Indian Motorsport in 2013.”
