Effective April 1st 2013, Tim Mahoney will be joining Chevrolet as Chief Marketing Officer Global Chevrolet. Prior to this engagement, he was with Volkswagen in capacity as Chief Product and Manufacturing Officer since 2011. Tim Mahoney will be entrusted with finding new avenues for the brand to expand into and thereby boost sales globally.
Chevrolet has about 20 new vehicles that will be released in the coming months and with his experience, he will be in a position to make sure that these launches are greatly appreciated by customers. He has also worked with Subaru, Porsche and has intensive automotive marketing experience.
Last year saw Chevrolet sell 4.95 million vehicles all over the world thereby making it one of the most successful automotive brands globally. Through its innovative advertising platform Commonwealth, and communication platform Find New Roads, Chevrolet hopes to reach more prospective customers which will help the brand continue to grow on a global level.
