Top 10 selling cars for September 2015

Maruti Suzuki Alto experienced growth of 4% with 20,658 units sold during September 2015 as against 19,906 units sold in the same month of the previous year. Maruti DZire sales during September 2015 increased by 8% with 19,682 units sold as compared to 18,185 units sold in September 2014.

Maruti Swift experienced growth of 6% while the Maruti WagonR registered de-growth of 5% with just 14,912 units sold in September 2015 as compared to 15,641 units sold in September 2014. It was the Maruti Suzuki Celerio that showed the most sales increase in September 2015 with 39% increase in sales. Sales during September stood at 8,901 units as compared to 6,382 units sold in the same month of the previous year.

Later this month, Maruti Suzuki will launch the new Baleno hatchback, which is expected to feature in the list of top 10 soon.

Honda Amaze which failed to make it to the list in August re-entered in September at 9th position with sales of 6,577 units sold during the month, registering growth of 71% over sales in the same month last year. Honda City also entered the list of top 10 selling cars in September 2015 with 5,702 units sold during the month.

Hyundai Grand i10 registered 55% increase in sales with 11,258 units sold during September 2015 as compared to 7,289 units sold in September 2014 while the Hyundai i20 registered 9% increase in sales from 8,903 units sold in September 2014 to 9,729 units sold in the past month. The newest Hyundai car, Creta continued to be in the list of top 10 with sales of 7,291 units.
