Now having turned the corner, Toyota gets ready to attract a new set of young buyers. Toyota Camry appeals to buyers in the early 50s while the sports version is expected to attract younger buyers. Competing with likes of upcoming models from Nissan, Honda, Chevrolet and Ford, Toyota Camry is doing brisk business. The company has revamped its 2012 model to ensure more style, luxury and features that portray it in a more adventurous light.
With Toyota Camry sports version called SE, targeting younger buyers meant that the company had to concentrate more on its sportier features which included enhanced suspension, aluminum wheels and low profile tyres. Toyota targets sale of 2 million vehicles in US markets during the year. Toyota emerged from the natural disasters which made them lost the No.1 crown to General Motors earlier this year but with sales reaching 4.97 million globally, about 300,000 in excess of what General Motors achieved, it proves that Toyota is well on its way to regain its lost glory. The all nEW Toyota Camry launch for the Indian auto market is scheduled for 24th August 2012
