Toyota car sales for Nov 2013 decline in India

Domestic sales of Toyota Kirloskar Motors, Indian arm of global leader in auto manufacturing, saw a decrease by 144 units as the company sold 10,208 units in domestic market. In November 2012, Toyota India sold 10,352 units.

Including exports, Toyota Kirloskar Motors has sold a total of 12,748 units during the month of November 2013, resulting in a 12% increase over 11,357 units sold in November 2012. These November sales included 2,540 Etios series which were exported.

Toyota Etios series continued to attract buyers specially since the new Etios Xclusive and Etios Liva Xclusive Limited Editions were launched of which only 2000 exclusive units were sold till the month of November 2013.

Etios and Etios Liva were the first Toyota vehicles exclusively designed for Indian buyers and are produced from the company plant in Bidadi. The Xclusive editions are offered with Bluetooth/Audio with remote, rear parking sensors, two tone Ash Brown premium interiors and a limited edition Xclusive badge and are priced between INR 6,05,900 for the petrol variant and INR 7,13,243 for its diesel counterpart.

Commenting on the sales in Nov 2013, Mr. Sandeep Singh, Deputy Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer, Marketing and Commercial said “The market continues to be sluggish and market sentiments are not expected to improve in the coming months.”
