Toyota Corolla Nurburgring edition debuts before 2015 Bangkok Motor Show

Toyota Team Thailand has made history with the Toyota Corolla Altis Sport S in ADAC 24 Hours Rennen Nurburgring. To mark its second year in the endurance race, Toyota Thailand has announced a new edition, called Toyota Corolla ESport Nurburgring Edition.
Toyota Corolla Nurburgring edition will be showcased at the 36th Bangkok Motor Show, which is scheduled to open its doors from March 24, 2015. Sales of this special car will commence from from April 1, 2015 and price is set at 959,000 THB (INR 18.34 lakhs) for White Pearl exterior colour and 949,000 THB (INR 18.15 lakhs) for the Black Mica shade. Compared to regular Corolla, the special edition is about 50,000 THB more expensive.

Seen with a host of sporty features, the Toyota Corolla ESport Nurburgring edition will receive LED headlights, a new front bumper and piano black front grille in the front while at the rear, a new diffuser will be evident. Sitting on new 17” alloy wheels with tyre size of 215/45 R17, the interiors will be prominent with black leather seats and contrasting stitching. Dashboard will boast of red inserts which will also be carried forward to door trims thus giving interiors also a sportier appeal.

Engine specifications on board the Toyota Corolla ESport Nurburgring edition will include a 1.8 liter, four cylinder Duat –VVT –I engine offering 141 PS peak power at 6,000 rpm and 117 Nm torque at 4,000 rpm mated to a 7 speed CVT. Unconfirmed reports suggest suspension has been tuned for better handling and performance as compared to the regular Corolla.
