Toyota Etios Cross unveiled at Delhi Auto Expo
Toyota unveiled the new Etios Cross in India today at the Delhi Auto Expo. Toyota Etios Cross is larger, wider and taller than the Etios Liva hatchback, on which it has been built, but still it will be offered in same choice of engines, as seen on the existing Liva hatchback. Once launched, it will compete with the likes of Ford EcoSport in the compact SUV segment.
Dimensions of Etios Cross stand at 3895 x 1735 x 1555 (L x W x H)mm, which when compared to that of Liva, is longer by 110 mm, wider by 40 mm and taller by 45 mm. It has a ground clearance of 170 mm and wheelbase of 2460 mm.
Given a more stylish and young look, new Etios Cross features 10 spoke alloys with 15 inch wheels, black and silver cladding on the front side and rear (giving the car a tougher look), roof rails that have larger bars, rear spoiler, and a new fog lamp housing. On the inside, Etios Cross features chrome inserts on dashboard, adjustable headrests with new black seats. For safety, you have ABS with EBD and Airbags.
Power will be delivered by a 1.2l and 1.5l petrol engine delivering 79 bhp 104 Nm torque and 89 bhp and 132 Nm torque. You also have a diesel option, this one is in the form of 1.4l engine generating 67 hp and 170 Nm torque. On all, power delivery is taken care by a 5 speed manual transmission.
