Toyota Kirloskar Motor India sales decline 18% in January 2014
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) sold 10,910 units in Jan 2014 compared to 13,329 units in Jan 2013 reporting 18.14% sales decline in India. TKM exported 1,530 units of Etios series last month.
Mr. N Raja, Senior Vice – President, Sales and Marketing said “The market continues to be sluggish and the market sentiments remain low. We will be unveiling the All New Corolla Altis and Etios Cross at the Auto Expo 2014. We look forward to delighting our customers with these new vehicles that are built on the QDR (Quality, Durability and Reliability) Standards. The Auto Expo is expected to bring about excitement and will help improve customer sentiments.”
Earlier this week, Toyota announced management changes wef 1st April, 2014. This sees Mr. Sandeep Singh, the Deputy Managing Director (Sales, Marketing, Customer Service & Commercial Divisions) of TKM move on to Toyota Motor Asia Pacific Engineering & Manufacturing (TMAP-EM), headquartered at Bangkok, as Executive Managing Coordinator where he will head the Planning Group at TMAP- EM.
Mr. N Raja, Senior Vice President and Mr. Akitoshi Takemura, Senior Managing Coordinator will jointly take charge of Sales & Marketing functions at TKM. Mr. T. S. Jaishankar, Executive Vice President & Director will be responsible for Commercial functions and Mr. Hitoshi Iwanaga, Senior Vice President will take charge of Customer Service functions.
