Toyota Motors is working towards making available affordable cars but this isn’t the usual winning model that makes its way across the glove. They are looking beyond a winning world car option and concentrating on affordable cars that are suited for a country.

For instance, Toyota has gone on to introduce the Etios in India, and have been raking in volumes through this platform. Toyota India looks forward to manufacturing 190 000 Etios vehicles by 2013 end. This figure at present stands at 80,000 units for the Indian car market. The Etios is now set to be launched in South Africa by the end of 2011. It doesn’t end there for Toyota Motors as the company is looking at manufacturing affordable cars for Brazilian and Chinese markets too.

The affordable car for China will be launched in 2013 as reported by Nikkei business daily. The car will be fitted with parts from the Etios as part of cost cutting but will be a wee bit bigger and powered by a 1.5-liter engine. The Toyota affordable car for Brazil will be a 2012 late entrant.
