Toyota Porte and Spade MPV enters Japan markets (Photos)

Taking into consideration, the increased demand for small compact cars with the advantages of a minivan, Toyota has banked upon the redesigned Porte and new Spade MPV in Japan. Both these models are seen with similar features ideally suited for the Japanese auto sector with remote controlled electric sliding doors on passenger side while driver’s door remains unchanged in design.

Spade and Porte are similar in size and ideally suited to offer comfortable rides to upto five passengers. These two redesigned vehicles measure 157.3 inches in length, 66.7 inches in width and stands 66.5 inches in height. The front passenger seat folds completely horizontal to form a table while hooks are fitted in strategic places to hold shopping bags and other knickknacks.

Tissue holders in front and rear show that the company has concentrated even on minor amenities to ensure utmost comfort and conveniences to the buyers. Both the Toyota offerings are fitted with engine options of 1.3 liter and 1.5 liter petrol engines mated to Super CVT-I automatic transmission with choices between front and all wheel drives. Similarities between the two models do not end here. Prices of Porte and Spade are also in the same bracket of ¥1,450,000 to ¥1,910,000 (US$18,450 to US$24,300).
