Much earlier Honda had announced their plans of producing cars in the United States and exporting them around the world.  Now, Toyota too has similar plans where they plan on exporting Camry to South Korea starting from January 2012.  Toyota plans on shipping at least 600 such vehicles per year.  Under normal circumstances, these vehicles would be supplied from Korea, but taking into consideration the high yen rates it would be more economical to ship them out from US shores.

Camry will be the second model to be exported from US.  Earlier last month, Toyota shipped out their Sienna minivans to South Korea from Princeton Ind.

Camry is produced from the assembly plant in Georgetown, Ky., and at the Indiana plant in Lafayette.  It has been a top selling model in the US and is the first time that it is being exported to S Korea.  This has come to pass due to new free trade agreement with South Korea that would help create new jobs in the US.
