Triumph Street Triple RS, Bonneville T100, Tiger 800 – Discount offers Oct 2019

Triumph Street Triple RS discounts

Just a day after unveiling 2020 Street Triple RS, Triumph Motorcycles has announced attractive discounts and benefits on existing model. This is probably being done to clear inventory ahead of launch of new Street Triple RS. Another reason could be recent launch of KTM 790 Duke, which is cheaper than Street Triple RS. While 790 Duke retails at Rs 8.64 lakh, Triple RS is priced at Rs 11.13 lakh.

Total benefits being offered on Triumph Street Triple RS include cash discount of up to Rs 1 lakh and free accessories and riding gear worth up to Rs 59k. However, the exact proportion of discount and benefits may vary from dealer to dealer.

Triumph is offering this scheme as Diwali offer, which is valid only for October. It is worth mentioning that this is the first time Triumph is offering such attractive discounts on one of its bestselling motorcycles.

Triumph discount offers Oct 2019

Apart from Street Triple RS, Diwali 2019 discount offer valid for Oct 2019 also extends to other Triumph Motorcycles in India. Bonneville T100 gets benefits of up to Rs 1.75 lakhs, Tiger 800 XR up to Rs 2.8 lakhs, Street Triple S has Rs 1.13 lakhs off.

Triumph’s Street Triples are counted amongst the best performance bikes, capable of everyday commute as well as professional track racing. Street Triple is offered in three options, base model S, sportier R variant and top of the line RS variant. Range topping RS variant is unparalleled in its power delivery, dynamism, agility and intuitive performance.

Street Triple RS is powered by a 765 cc, 12 valve, liquid cooled, DOHC engine that generates max power of 121.2 bhp @ 11,700 rpm and max torque of 77 Nm @ 10,800 rpm. Engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

The motorcycle utilizes aluminium beam twin spar frame at the front and 2 piece high pressure die cast frame at the rear. Front suspension comprises 41 mm Showa upside down big piston forks (BPF) while Ohlins STX40 does duty at the rear. Street Triple RS comes with disc brakes at both ends, integrated with switchable dual channel ABS.

Street Triple RS takes on rivals such as Ducati Monster 821, MV Agusta Brutale 800, Aprilia Shiver 900, Kawasaki Z900 and recently launched KTM 790 Duke. 2020 Street Triple RS will come with various upgrades such as BS-VI compliant engine, slightly altered looks, and updated electronics package. Launch in India is expected in the coming months.
