Triumph’s New 250 confirmed at EICMA
The all new 250 cc motorcycle from British motorcycle manufacturer, Triumph was officially confirmed at the EICMA, Milan. At a press conference at the EICMA Motorcycle Show, Triumph Motorcycles revealed the sketch of their new 250cc motorcycle.
This mini Daytona is in the works and will be ready to be released in markets by 2015. Not named officially yet, this new 250 cc Triumph will be produced at their upcoming manufacturing plant in India at Narsapura near Bangalore, reveals Asphalt And Rubber. Triumph India will officially start India operations on 28th Nov 2013. They have extensive expansion plans, and the 250 is a big proof.
The new baby Triumph will have a sporty appeal as is seen in the Daytona 675. It will possess a single cylinder engine. The engine will have likely output of 30 BHP power and a number of common features as seen on the Street Triple. The bike was earlier spotted on test, spy shots can be seen here.
Triumph 250 will come in with an affordable price tag once launched in India as they expect to make their mark in the entry level segment in the country. In India, new Triumph 250 will compete against upcoming Honda CBR300R, KTM Duke 390, Hyosung GT250R and Kawasaki Ninja 300. The sketch revealed show disc brakes in the front and rear along with an exposed drive chain all of which add a menacing appeal to the bike which should be well received by biking aficionados in the country.
