TVS Motor launches new motorcycle at Rs 44,000
Chennai based TVS Motor Company has launched their new motorcycle, Star City+ in India today. Showcased earlier at 2014 Auto Expo in February this year, the new Star City+ is an updated version of Star City 110cc motorcycle with a retuned version of the 110 cc engine.
It will be powered by the same 109.7cc single cylinder and air cooled engine offering 8.18 bhp peak power at 7000 rpm and 8.1 Nm peak torque at 5000 rpm mated to a 4 speed gearbox. Claiming best in class fuel efficiency with mileage of 83.9 kmpl is what draws further attention to the Star City+. This is the same engine seen on board Wego and Jupiter scooters, which the company has tweaked for added performance in Star City+.
Features on board the new Star City+ includes a 90% analogue and 10% digital instrument cluster, stainless steel muffler guard along with chrome finished handles and coloured shock absorbers. The Star City+ receives electric start, service indicator and power/economy models along with a dual toned, high comfort seat with contrasting stitching.
