Upward of 100 bookings for Hyosung GT250R: DSK Motowheels does a Big Boys move in a week of launch
DSK Motowheels will soon be making Hyosung motorbikes here in India but for starters they have started importing these bikes from Hyosung Motors of Korea…
DSK Motowheels will be presenting the Hyosung bike in India with 90% localization while engine and gearbox support will be supplied by Hyosung itself. The company launched the GT250R (Big Boy) in India on Wednesday adding to their other offering of GT650R, GT650N and ST7 which are already doing well in the subcontinent. The GT250R will be priced at Rs.2.75 lakhs and will be one of the most expensive in its category.
The GT250R is an air oil cooled 249cc 75 degree bike with a V twin engine that runs on eight valve. It has peak power of 27.88 PS and torque of 22.07 Nm. Its engine is mated to a 5 speed gearbox and the GT250R is available in a choice of three colors white/red, red/black and silver/red. Hyosung has 18 dealers across India but is working primarily with DSK Group to help localize their components and a drop price which if all goes well will be at Rs.1.5 lakhs once localization is in place.
