Sprint has equipped the new Chrysler Ram 1500 truck with its innovative Velocity in Vehicle communication platform. The same will be presented to the audiences at the upcoming LA Auto Show. Apart from the Ram 1500 the SRT viper car also boasts of this innovation technology platform.
Through this platform one will be able to easily use devices like Iphones as also Android devices to control functions of the vehicle remotely. Through this wireless connectivity feature, one can stream audio and surf internet sites as also activate a 3G cellular Wi-Fi hotspot for passengers. Once connected to the platform individuals can us their mobile devices to lock and unlock a Ram 1500 truck or a SRT Viper.
Devices can also be sued to start the vehicle and if a vehicle is stolen GPS co-ordinates will be transmitted to the smart phone. Integrated cloud services accentuate usage of services like texting and mail while at the same time ensuring safety of the driver and occupants. An innovative voice to text function has been incorporated within certain cloud services to provide optimum satisfaction when using this platform.
Sprint is the telematics integrator and wireless connectivity partner for Chrysler and its looking to partner with other auto manufacturers to make use of this Velocity communication platform in other vehicles.

Chrysler Group LLC’s Uconnect Access system has been nominated for AOL Autos’ Technology of the Year Award in the category of connectivity.
The system is launching in the new 2013 SRT Viper supercar and the revamped 2013 Ram 1500 full-size pickup.

Uconnect Access features embedded cellular technology that affords direct connections to 911 operators, customer service and roadside assistance providers. The system also boasts breakthrough Voice Texting capability that enables drivers to send text messages using natural speech instead of having to memorize lists of generic messages.
