Vespa VX125 automatic scooter launched in pink and blue color option
Italian scooter manufacturer, Piaggio are expanding their scooter range in India. Last week, a new variant of Vespa, called VX 125 was launched, at an ex-showroom price of Rs 65,596. Featuring new bright colors of pink and blue, the new Vespa has better braking capability due to 200mm front disc brake and new MRF Zapper tubeless tyres.
On the engine front, the new scooter gets the same 125cc, single cylinder, 3 valve, four stroke engine offering 10.06 PS at 7,500 rpm and 10.6 Nm torque at 6,000 rpm mated to a variomatic (variable automatic) transmission. A top speed of 100 kmph will be achieved by this model while it will have a kerb weight of 114 kgs and fuel tank capacity of 8.5 liters. A striking feature to be seen in the upcoming model is its steel monocoque which contributes to better rigidity while the vehicle retains its single sided suspension seen in the Vespa LX 125.
Additional features such as front disc brakes, tubeless tyres, choice of a beige colored seat, and an extended grab rail for better support, are on offer in the new Vespa VX 125. The model is expected to make its way into markets at the end of June with which the company hopes to increase market share.
