Launched in India today, in presence of India’s ace cricketer, Virat Kohli, 2016 Audi RS 6 Avant is powered by a 4.0 liter 32V V8 TFSI bi-turbo engine (which also powers the recently launched Audi RS7 Sportback). This engine offers 560 bhp power at 5,700-6,600 rpm and 700 Nm torque at 1,750-5,500 rpm. It is mated to an 8 speed tiptronic transmission power, sending to all four wheels via Audi’s Quattro AWD system.

This is not the first time Virat Kohli has been associated with brand Audi India. He already has a fleet of Audi cars, including Q7, R8 V10 and R8 LMX limited edition, which he recently bought.
Speaking about the RS 6 Avant, it is fitted with Audi valvelift and start/stop system, cylinder intake and exhaust valves close when not in use, thus leading to better fuel efficiency of 9.6 liters per 100km (10.41 kmpl). Acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph is achieved in 3.9 seconds while top speed ranges from 250 kmpl to 305 kmpl, depending on the package you opt for.
Drawing design inspiration from new Audi A6 and S6, 2016 Audi RS 6 Avant Estate sports a single piece front grille, new LED DRLs and LED or Matrix lights. It sits on 20” alloy wheels which will be offered as a standard feature while 21” alloy will be optional depending on buyer’s preferences.
Other highlights on the 2016 Audi RS 6 Avant Estate include RS adaptive air suspension, lowered ride height and dynamic ride control while interiors sport black leather upholstery with silver and red accents. RS Sports seats with integrated head restraints are offered as standard while two rear seats get sporty contours. On board equipment includes MMI navigation plus with MMI touch and Bose surround sound system.
