Volkswagen adds R-Line to Touareg and Tiguan SUV: 2013 NAIAS

Following R-Line trim being added to the CC and Beetle in 2012, Volkswagen has now to given the Touareg and Tiguan the same treatment. Prices are as yet undisclosed and expected to be revealed closer to launch. Apart from this, at the Volkswagen stall in COBO Center, Detroit, you will also see Beetle concertible, CrossBlue concept, Cross Coupe, Passat Performance, Passat Wagon, Jetta and much more.

2013 Tiguan R-Line will be seen with bi-xenon headlights and LED daytime lights. 19” wheels, grey fender extensions and body colored side skirts also form part of its makeup while the vehicle is being offered in front and all wheel drive configurations. Tiguan R-Line will sport a 2.0 liter TSI turbocharged four cylinder engine also seen in VW GTI. A feature worth mentioning will be a Fender Premium Audio System which will feature a 10 channel, 400 watt amplifier with 8 speakers and a rear subwoofer.

Touareg R-Line will sport 20” wheels and will come in with an aggressive new front fascia. It will be given gloss black accents on instrument panel and center stack. The model will be available with a 3.0 liter VR6 gasoline engine or a 3.0 liter TDI Clean Diesel engine and comes with 4Motion all wheel drive, mated to an 8 speed automatic transmission.
