Could a Volkswagen Beetle look better than it already is? The hot selling Beetle with its unique identity has charmed auto enthusiasts all over around the globe. In its bid to innovate and adhere to customer preferences, Volkswagen will now cut open the loved Beetle.

Yes, the impossible does happen in the auto world. The Volkswagen Beetle convertible option with DSG 6-speed or 6-speed manual backed with diesel power will be available in early 2013. According to Car and Driver, sun gazers can now cover or uncover the hood at the press of a button. Expected engine options are a TDI diesel 140hp engine, a turbo four cylinder 200hp, and a five cylinder 170hp.

Speculations are rife about Volkswagen exhibiting the Beetle convertible at the Loss Angeles Auto Show to be held in November this year. Keeping in mind car sales of Volkswagen diesel cars, experts believe the soon-to-emerge convertible beetle which will be the only one of its kind in the United States, will dominate the future.
