Volkswagen e-Co-Motion is zero emissions compact delivery van of the future: 2013 Geneva
Volkswagen showcased their new e-Co-Motion delivery van concept at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, which opened for media yesterday. Seen as a concept delivery van with zero emissions of a near future, the e-CO-Motion is more compact in size as compared to the Transporter at 4.55 meters.
Larger wheels on its front axles will contribute to enhanced handling and better maneuverability. The new e-Co-Motion concept will have a turning circle of 8.95 meters. Its electric engine will be capable of 68 PS continuous output and max output of 115 ps and 270 Nm torque. Since this concept vehicle is designed for city usage, it limits max speed to 120 kmph.
The possession of three battery packs means that 20 kWh unit offers a drive range of 100 km, 30 kWh unit offers 150 km while 40 kWh battery offers a top range of 200 km. The vehicle will be able to occupy a total cargo capacity of 4.6 m3 and payload of 800 kgs in its hold.
