The car comes with clear labeling for airbag disabling and when it comes to pedestrian protection the Golf bumper offers maximum safety. Front Assist, Lane Assist are the two major systems that received major recognition along with proactive occupant protection and standard multicollision brake which were recognised as pioneering safety features being offered on the 7th generation VW Golf.
Offering these enhanced safety features and receipt of these prestigious awards projects the company endeavor to keeping passenger and pedestrian safety as their top priority while also making it affordable. Volkswagen carried out tests using dummies not only of adults but also of children as young as 18 month old and three year olds while they also used testing devices to portray pedestrian protection capabilities. Driver safety features include multicollision brake, front assist with city emergency braking, fatigue detection, lane assist, adaptive cruise control and occupant protection system making a total of 7 driver assistance systems which are being offered on the new VW Golf.
