Volkswagen Group India introduces 3 year Mechatronics Apprenticeship Program in Pune

Volkswagen Group India has launched the Mechatronics Apprenticeship Program, a 3 year course based on the German Dual System of Vocational Education and Training in Pune. This program works in tandem with employment opportunities in areas of Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Production,     Research & Development, and Planning. Apprentices will be tutored on key competencies required to fit into fast changing industrial requirements.

With the Mechatronics Apprenticeship Program, the Volkswagen Group has bought their global quality standards to the education sector too. The Volkswagen Academy Training Centre, two additional classrooms, and two workshops will be used as premise for the Volkswagen Mechatronics Apprenticeship Program.

The dual system of vocational education and training is similar to global Volkswagen locations. The approach goes a long way in ensuring quality orientation for apprentices’ right from the beginning. The 3 year Mechatronics Apprenticeship Program on Pune would also include Electrics/Electronics, Automation Technology, Soft Skills Training, Robot orientation, and IT.
