Volkswagen Group RUS will be supplying a fleet of 3,100 vehicles to Sochi 2014 Olympic Committee for use during the 2014 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. This is their contribution to help in celebrating the first ever Russian Olympic Games. The fleet will consist of Volkswagen, Audi and SKODA vehicles besides VW commercial vehicles which were put on display to offer visitors a chance to preview this exciting lineup which will go a long way in making the games a success.
Most of these vehicles will be manufactured in Russia itself, while the company is also in the process of opening a string of dealerships to offer technical and service support to the fleet. Special volunteer programs are also being undertaken which will see employees of VW RUS take active part in their bid to support the 2014 Sochi Games. Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games will be the most compact games in the history of the Olympic movement. Sochi Olympic park will be able to accommodate a total of 75,000 guests at one time.
