Porsche along with Volkswagen have come out with their plans for the coming year. Volkswagen will be in charge of the company imports and distribution of all Porsche vehicles in the country. These activities were till dated managed by Precision Cars India who were responsible for importing and selling of all Porsche range of sports cars in India.
This new alliance between Porsche and Volkswagen is part of the Porsche plan to boost business in India which is one of the emerging markets along with China where luxury SUVs and sports cars are concerned. Porsche has also appointed Mr. Anil Reddy previously Head of Sales at Audi India as the new Head of Indian Operations for Porsche. Reddy has over 16 years of experience in the automotive sector.
With higher incomes and growing number of affluence among the new Indian buyers, Porsche feels that there is likelihood of increased demand for their brand within the country and is hence banking on this to increase sales and take the company to the next level. Precision Cars India will henceforth look after sales and service of Porsche models through their network of showrooms and service centers across India.
