Volkswagen India MD and President John Chacko moves to AUDI AG with effect from 1st April 2013

Gerasimo Dorizas has been appointed as Chief Representative of Volkswagen Group India. Earlier Managing Director of Volkswagen Group Sales India Pvt. Ltd, Dorizas, 52 will assume his new office from 1st March 2013. Dorizas has been associated with VW Group ever since 2007 when he was appointed Executive Vice President – Sales and Marketing of VW Group Japan.

In 2008 he was elected President and CEO of VW Group, Japan and since 2012 has held the position of Managing Director at VW Group Sales India. Mahesh Kodumudi, 47, has also been appointed as President & MD of Volkswagen India Pvt. Ltd. Kodumudi has been associated with VW Group since 2008 and has held position of Executive Director, Purchase at VW India Pvt. Ltd.

Dr. John Chacko, 60, President, MD and Group Chief Representative at VW India will be assuming a top position at Audi AG from April 1, 2013. Chacko’s association with VW Group goes back to 1979. He has since then held a host of management positions in VW, Audi and SEAT and was Technical Project Manager for India in Wolfsburg in 2006. Since 2010 he has been President, Managing Director and Group Chief Representative and now goes ahead to assume his new position with Audi AG.
