Volkswagen Polo AWD being consideredVolkswagen is planning on launching an All Wheel Drive version of Polo. Though exact time of launch is not specified, Ulrich Hackenberg, Head of R&D has suggested such a model which may be welcomed in some countries. This will not be a first such offering from Volkswagen Group who has already seen an AWD in Audi A1 quattro which is based on a PQ25 platform also used in the Polo.

Polo R WRC Street was recently unveiled which is a top end FWD version of supermini. Polo R WRC Street can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 6.4 seconds while reaching a top speed of 151 mph. Production of this model is however limited to just 2500 units which would be priced at €33,900.

Polo WRC Street possesses distinctive R-WRC logos, a new rear spoiler, diffuser, sports suspension and will be painted in a stark white exterior paint with blue and grey elements as seen on the rally car. Motorsport inspired 18” wheels with 215/35 performance tyres, aluminum pedals and Alcantara steering wheel and sports seats complete it sporty appearance.
