Since the launch of Polo by Volkswagen late last month, there have been 1500 confirmed bookings and the wait period is almost 2 months. This is the company's 1st made in India venture.
After being launched for Rs. 4.34 lakh (ex showroom New Delhi), it's now available for Rs. 4.42 lakh (ex showroom New Delhi) since March 2, 2010 as a result of increase in excise duty with the Union Budget announcement. The 1.2L 75HP New Polo petrol variant is available at stores, and the 1.2L diesel variant will be visible from May 2010.
