Volkswagen Polo R WRC rally car road going version has been revealed. This street car will have the same engine details as the rally version with a 2.0 liter TSI direct injection petrol engine offering 217 hp and 258 lb/ft torque though it will not receive the racers drive train, gearbox, tyres and wide body kit. The vehicle will accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 6.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 243 kmph.

Polo R WRC will be a front wheel drive system mated to a six speed manual gearbox. However, will only be limited to 2500 units, which as per company inputs will be priced at €33,900 each (Rs 24 lakhs).

Polo R WRC will weigh 1324 kgs fully loaded and will be fitted with 18” alloy wheels with 215/35 low profile rubber tyres. It will also have 16″ disc brakes. The upcoming road version will offer fuel efficiency of 13.4 kmpl while auto emissions will stand at 174 gms of CO2. Bookings commence while deliveries will be effected only by September 2013.
