Volkswagen Polo sedan 1st gen launch in Middle East: VW India Pune plant production

Volkswagen Middle East has launched the new Polo Sedan. The vehicle marks its entry with a host of comfort, safety and top quality engineering features while prices are kept competitive. The Polo Sedan will be available with a 1.6 liter 105 PS engine mated to a six speed automatic transmission while it is sport maximum amount of comfort features that will appeal to their customers in the Middle East who are used to all possible trimmings in their vehicle where utmost comforts are concerned.

Safety features will include ABS, rear and central locking with keyless entry, front airbags for driver and co driver, adjustable 3 point safety front seat belt, 3 point safety belts at the rear and a lap belt for the middle passenger while parking distance control is an added rear safety feature.

A standard feature seen in new Polo Sedan will be addition of an Electronic Immobilizer. This works as an anti theft device which is activated as soon as ignition key is removed from its place and working with an engine control unit so as to avoid any unauthorized person from starting the vehicle.

Volkswagen Polo Sedan for Middle East comes from the Indian Pune production plant in Pune. The modern VW plant is the company’s only production facility in India, and is responsible for all functions including the press shop, body and paint shop, and final assembly.
