Volkswagen has come up with a novel way to help create awareness for their new VW Jetta. The company has entered into an agreement with En Route Media to use Flo to advertise their Jetta in all taxis in Mumbai till October 30th. En Route's Flo is technologically advanced integrated embedded PC with interface touch screen which will be installed in radio taxis.
This will play a 45 second version of the VW Jetta advertisement which will enable all passengers to view the advertisement while traveling in taxis across Mumbai. The system is already installed in 300 taxis of Easycab. Speaking about the advertisement campaign, Mr. Paul Schwarz of En Route said that in taxi advertising was only in static form as on date.
Traditional media of TV advertising and newspapers is no longer the only means, and there was an urgent need to think of newer and more effective ways of advertising specially for the Indian on the move. Flo offers travelers and passengers an effective form of both entertainment and information through videos and advertising regarding fashion, lifestyles, new car launches and advanced technology from across the globe.
Head of Marketing & PR, Volkswagen India, Lutz Kothe had this to say. "With increasing fragmentation of customers' attention in the traditional media, we have for the very first time partnered with En Route Media to air our Jetta campaign in the in-taxi entertainment systems. We are confident this initiative will yield positive results for the brand."
