Volvo Cars and Infosys further app development services agreement
Infosys, the Bangalore based leaders in consulting, technology and outsourcing solutions has announced on Monday that it has won a contract to develop and provide software applications for Volvo cars global operations. This is a multiyear contract to develop technology applications to support Volvo’s marketing and sales strategies besides customer service, manufacturing, product development and corporate functions.
Infosys has long been associated with Volvo Cars ever since 2010 for rationalization and integration of enterprise systems. As per the terms of agreement under the new contract, Infosys will introduce proven global service delivery knowhow while introducing innovation and transformation into the process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Infosys will also develop certain applications to support multiple domains which will include operations right from product development to marketing and sales and enhancement of customer service.
Infosys, India’s second-largest IT services company, as part of its recently signed contract with Volvo Cars will also offer best practices with reference to business process harmonization and enhanced delivery across transformation projects. All of this will combine together to allow Volvo Cars to function in a more efficient and time bound manner while at the same time transforming their IT landscape to a more contemporary style. This new alliance will strengthen its focus on Nordic markets and enhance their presence in Sweden.
