GET FREE AUTO ALERTS After two years of being in discussion phase, the Volvo car unit is finally sold for $1.8 billion. Ford, which is the primary owning company agreed to sell Volvo's car unit to Greely Automobiles.
By buying the Volvo car unit, Greely Automobile has marked the arrival of China on the world automobile map. Though the details are not public yet, their company spokesperson has declared that details will be made available soon as Sunday.
Greely has also promised that they will not move the headquarters to China. In fact, the Volvo car units headquarter along with the R&D department in Sweden.
