OAO BelAZ, a Belarusian automobile engineering company has unveiled the world’s largest dump truck. Unveiled at the test fields of Belarusian Autoworks, the 75710 is said to have a payload capacity of 450 tonnes. It features two diesel engines, each producing 2,300 hp and a combined torque of 13,738 lb/ft or 18,626 Nm.
75710 has a cabin space sufficient for upto two persons and is so designed to eliminate noise, vibrations and to keep out harmful substances and dust in the air. Michelin radial tubeless pneumatic tyres are fitted on eight wheels and each wheel is twice as tall as an average sized person. The vehicle has a top speed of 64 kmph and comes with two 16 cylinder turbocharged diesel engines with combined capacity of 130 liters. Documentation for claiming the Guinness World Record title is being submitted which will mean that the 75719 will break earlier records currently being held by Liebherr.
