Last time Yamaha sent such an invite which read the exact same text “Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd. gears up to unveil a new chapter” as the current one, most people believed they were going to launch Yamaha R25 quarter litre sports bike. Instead, this is what was unveiled (see picture below).
A new Mascot for Yamaha Children Safety Program (YCSP), a social initiative to educate parents and children regarding road safety measures. This time, since Yamaha FZ facelift was presented at Auto Expo and spy shots of same have surfaced online few times, launch of revised FZ is anticipated.
Yamaha FZ S version 2 will get new body decals, redesigned headlight unit, new visor, clear -lens turn indicators, full digital instrument console, air scoops, split seats, fresh pillion grab rails, redesigned exhaust, new tire hugger and all-new tail light assembly.
Updated Yamaha FZ will most likely be powered by same 153cc air-cooled engine, producing 14PS max. power at 7,000 rpm and 13.6 Nm peak torque at 6,500 rpm; although boost in performance is speculated. Usual 5 speed gearbox will do duty on FZ version 2.
Lets see on June 30 what Yamaha India will really unveil this time.
