Yamaha MT25 could be unveiled at Biker Street Party on 6th June

Yamaha Indonesia has released a new video, inviting every biker out there for a Bikers Street Night Party. To be held in Indonesia, on 6th June 2015, this party could result in global premiere of new Yamaha MT25.

Though Yamaha has not said anything directly, but the video gives more than one hint towards what we are guessing. For one, the video, titled #Nakedvolution, says ‘The New Era of Riding Has Come’. Second, it features a host of Yamaha MT series motorcycles like the MT09, MT07 and MT125.

Yamaha MT25 has already been seen on test on a number of occasions. It receives basic setup from the successful YZF-R25. The major difference between the two are a new fuel tank and LED infused headlamp. Riding position has also been modified offering the rider a more relaxed riding position on the naked MT25.

Yamaha MT25 receives telescopic forks in front and monoshocks at the rear while both wheels get a disc brake each. Yamaha MT-25 will also receive diamond type frame, suspension set up and braking system from the R25 and will be devoid of fairing or any additional body work while weight will be less than the Yamaha R25 which stands at 169 kgs.

Yamaha MT25 will, in all possibility, receive a YZF-R25 sourced 249cc parallel twin, liquid cooled engine offering 36 PS power and 22.6 Nm torque mated to a 6 speed gearbox. If launched in India, Yamaha MT-25 will be priced around INR 2.6 lakhs where it will compete with Kawasaki Z250, Duke 390, Honda CBR250R and Benelli TNT300.
