Yamaha R25 attacking a race track in Japan – Video
Yamaha R25 is a treat to racing enthusiasts, with sharp sporty looks and engine that demands more throttle as you rev. 2,800 lucky fans in Indonesia booked the Yamaha R25 online out of which first 1,000 will receive their rides in July. Rest may have to wait for the next month as Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (YIMM) will be manufacturing only 2,000 bikes per month in East Jakarta plant.
YZF-R25 booked nearly one fourth of Yamaha’s Indonesian allotment for the year (12,000 units) leaving them puzzled about how to make deliveries in time. Hence, export plans of another 12,000 units the year (1,000 per month) is hanging in balance as local customers should not be left in disappointment. Original plan of export commencement in August 2014 will likely be pushed to next year to quench the thirst of Yamaha R25 buyers in its home country. Export markets will majorly constitute Japan, Europe, India and other neighbouring countries.
Dealers in Japan have received some units of Yamaha R25 and they have made test run in Sports Land SUGO racing circuit (West Course japan). The video below shows R25 sports bike attacking the only racing circuit in Japan.
Yamaha R25 ideal for enthusiastic track rides and competition among budding racers. The inline 2 cylinder 249cc engine hidden inside R25’s full fairing produces 36 PS max. power at 12,000 rpm and 22.1 Nm peak torque at 10,000 rpm, competing tightly with Honda CBR 250R. Both feature 6 speed transmission.
