Yamaha R25 TVC launched in Indonesia, India awaits its turn
Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing commenced deliveries of the Yamaha R25 sports bike and has confirmed that international exports will begin by end 2014 or early 2015. Produced at Yamaha’s plant in East Jakarta, Indonesia, Yamaha R25 is slated to be launched in India in early 2015 and will come in via the CKD or CBU route.
A TVC of this upcoming Yamaha R25 sports bike has been released which draws attention to its sporty appeal. The TVC of R25 promises to allow the rider to have complete control, take his own road and make his own choices, unlike in life where one cannot always have one’s own way and have complete freedom over decisions.
Export operations of Yamaha R25 have been delayed due to overwhelming response in Indonesia itself which is keeping the company on its toes to effect timely delivery. Yamaha R25 has seen a total of 2,800 customers in Indonesia who ordered their bike online in just 25 hours of opening.
Initial deliveries have been made while some buyers have already modified their bikes to include three spoke while alloy wheels and heftier Pirelli Diablo tyres. Modifications have been done by Banten province based Berkat Motors, noted after market specialists. The R25 has been fitted with Brembo calipers. It is powered by a 250cc parallel twin engine offering 36 PS peak power and 22.6 Nm peak torque mated to a 6 speed gearbox. Prices when launched in India could stand at INR 2.75 lakhs, if imported via CKD units or at INR 3.75 lakhs if imported as CBU.
