Yamaha Ray wins India Design Mark Award 2013. During this year’s open application and judging, Yamaha Ray was one of the 39 applications that were considered for the I Mark award.
India Design Council that presented the award is made up of individuals from various circles including academia, industry and design among others. The India Design Mark (I Mark) awards were initiated with co-operation from Japan Institute of Design Promotion and in tandem with standards set down by Japan’s Good Design Award (G Mark). During this year’s open application and judging, Yamaha Ray was one of the 39 applications that were considered for the I Mark award.
The Yamaha Ray was launched in September 2012 and targeted women customers. Its design features, good fuel economy, practical storage areas, comfortable seating and easy reach leg to the ground along with easy to operate side and main stand made it a bike that was designed and well appreciated by women folk in the country.
