Zest from Tata Motors in NCR A3 compact sedan market, 1st 100 deliveries
In its new avatar, Tata Motors’ 13 revamped showrooms and strong new sales team, the Indian automaker announced NCR as an important market for its new compact sedan Zest. First 100 customers were invited to a special event at Delhi this week.
Ranjit Yadav, President, Passenger Vehicles, Tata Motors and Mr. Girish Wagh, Senior Vice President, Programme Planning & Project Management, Passenger Vehicles were in attendance to interact with new owners.
Mr. Yadav said Zest is a breakthrough product from Tata Motors in India’s compact sedan market with 29 new features. As a market, NCR is often ahead of others. Through FY ’14, NCR’s compact sedan market grew by 47% despite the industry reporting decline. Through Q1 FY 15, A3 compact sedan market grew by 51% in NCR
So car buyers here could be keen on Zest’s turbo-charged petrol engine Revotron 1.2T, with the multi-mode drive and the first diesel with an AMT option in this segment.
