1290 Super Duke R from KTM carries customary design cues in bigger and more muscular form. Blazing orange frame and blending black coat calls for serious attention on road. Not to mention head turner tune from muffler. Liquid cooled 1301cc four stroke 75 degree V-twin engine derived from RC8 super bike pushes out massive 180 bhp max. power at 8,870 rpm and 144 Nm peak torque. 6 speed gearbox mated to KTM 1290 Super Duke’s power house is equipped with slipper clutch to provide smooth downshifting.
KTM gave 1290 Super Duke R a ride-by-wire throttle to let riders control the beast effectively. Further, riding modes can be selected via instrument console. Tubular trellis frame features 48 mm USD telescopic forks (inverted) suspending front wheel and mono shock unit mounted on single-side swingarm.
Antilock Braking System and Traction Control are installed in 1290 Super Duke R. 17 inch multi-spoke alloy wheels host 120/70 tire at front and 190/55 tire at rear end. 320 mm dual discs on front and single disc rotor on rear wheel help shed speed.
