Completing their 500th Formula One Grand Prix and spending 60 years in partnership, Shell presented Scuderia Ferrari with a special painting by well-known motorsport artist Michael Turner to mark this historic milestone that they have accomplished together. The partnership between these two companies goes back to the 1920s when Enzo Ferrari, the first Shell sponsored racer went on to form his own racing team Scuderia Ferrari. As a special way to celebrate this occasion, Shell presented this special painting which showcases the partnership through the ages. It brings on screen a Ferrari 125 F1 that was part of the Monaco GP in 1950 while side by side is seen the F2012 that partook in the 500th race to take place on Sunday at Singapore.
The painting was presented to members of Scuderia Ferrari which included Stefano Domenicali, Fernando Alonso, and Felipe Massa. The two, Shell and Scuderia Ferrari have amassed 12 Drivers’ Championships and 20 Constructors’ Championships including 163 GP victories. It is a pleasure to mark this occasion with a beautiful painting which depicts the history of our partnership”

We share a long term vision in racing which is the best way to work in Formula One, we need to push Shell and Shell needs to push Ferrari. The painting presented to us today is an excellent depiction on how far the partnership has come and we hope that it continues for many more races.
