As the much awaited and super luxurious 2013 Maserati Quattroporte gears up for its world debut at the Detroit Auto Show, which is scheduled from January 14 to 22, 2013, the company has offered information on engine specifications. This sixth generation Maserati Quattroporte assembled by Ferrari in Maranello and designed by Maserati Powertrain will possesses a 3.0 liter V6 engine and a high performance 3.8 liter V8 engine. The turbocharged V6 will be capable of 301 kW at 5500rpm and 550 Nm torque from 1500 to 5000 rpm.
Being lighter, larger and more luxurious than the model it replaces, 2013 Maserati Quattroporte is capable of a top speed of 307 kmph and possesses a high degree of interior and exterior updates and larger cabin space. Fuel consumption and emissions are both lowered by 20% as compared to the outgoing Quattroporte.
Interiors are seen with state of the art features such as Maserati Touch Control screen, adjustable pedals, reversing camera and 15 speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system along with WLAN Wi-Fi compatibility and the latest of mobile phone system. Pricing and other specifications will be revealed ahead of its debut in showrooms which is scheduled for third quarter of 2013.
