2013 Skoda Octavia to be revealed today


The third generation of Skoda Octavia sedan, is scheduled to be revealed later today in Prague, Czech Republic. Skoda Auto has already revealed teasers of the new Octavia via their official Facebook page, while journalists who were invited for the official media drive revealed what will the new Skoda sedan will offer.

2013 Skoda Octavia will have three variants. One variant will have a basic halogen bulb, while an HID bixenon will be offered on the next variant and top end model will sport LED headlamps. Besides these features the upcoming Octavia 2013 will also sport more luxurious features along with advanced safety and infotainment systems. A new panoramic sunroof, inbuilt camera to read road signs and guard against sudden lane departure along with adaptive cruise control will be available.

The Czech based auto manufacturer, will launching Skoda Octavia III in Indian markets by May 2013 as the new Skoda Laura. The upcoming model will be the first Skoda vehicle to be based on the Volkswagen MQB platform. It will possess enhanced interior space and a 590 liter boot. Engine options will vary from a 1.8 liter TSI petrol engine and a 2.0 liter TDI diesel engine.
