The two petrol engine options include 1.4 TSI and 1.8 TSI. 2013 Octavia 1.4 TSI will be offered in only manual transmission option of 6 speed gearbox. Power rating is at 140 PS and 250 Nm torque while delivering claimed mileage of 16.8 kmpl. This model will be available in Active and Ambition trim.
Speaking about the other petrol option, 1.8 TSI, this one is a top of the line variant. It features the most powerful engine in the line-up, generating 180 PS and 250 Nm torque. Sadly, this one will only be offered in automatic transmission with 7 speed DSG gearbox. Mileage of Octavia 1.8 TSI is claimed at 14.7 kmpl, while this one will only be offered in Elegance trim.
Only one diesel engine option will be on offer, this will be in the form of Volkswagen’s trusted 2.0 TDI, which also features in other VW Group cars like Jetta, and many Audi cars. The engine delivers 143 PS power and 320 Nm torque. Octavia diesel is available in a choice of manual and automatic gearbox. Manual transmission is taken care by a 6 speed gearbox, whereas the automatic transmission is taken care by a 6 speed DSG. Mileage is claimed at 10.6 kmpl and 19.3 kmpl respectively.

Bookings of the new Octavia have already bgun across all dealerships of Skoda India. You can choose from the above four engine options and then decide on the trim. The four engine options are further divide into 7 trims. Features that will be on offer only in the Elegance option, rear decklid spoiler (1.8 TSI, see image above), Bi-Xenon headlights, LED DRLs, tyre pressure monitoring, front park sensors, side and curtain airbags, sunroof with remote control, electrically adjustible driver seat with memory function and lumbar support, retractable screen for rear windscreen, storage compartment under front passenger seat, and cruise control.
Octavia Active misses out on wood design decor on the front console panel and doors, light assistant, DRLs, automatically dimming interior rear view mirror, park assist, Electronic Differential Lock, Multi Collision Braking, Skoda audio player with 5.8 inch color touchscreen, (instead features Skoda Swing audio player), steering mounted audio controls, climate control, leather seat upholstery, electrically foldable external rear view mirrors, Bluetooth, front wiper with rain and sensor.
A total of 7 color options are on offer, three of which are new to the Octavia range. These 7 options are, Brilliant Silver, Candy White, Cappuccino Beige, Magic Black, Rio Red (new), Metal Grey (new), and Race Blue (new).
