2013 Women’s World Car of the Year sees Ford 1.0l EcoBoost win in economy car category

The results of Women’s World Car of the Year 2013 were announced with Ford Fiesta 1.0l EcoBoost being the undisputed winner. Fiesta won in economy car category thus defeating Mazda CX5 and Range Rover. Women’s World Car of the Year awards are designed chiefly to echo the partiality of women drivers who form a large percentage of car buyers as on date.

Porsche Boxter SThe results for favorite family car included the Audi Allroad which was a winner in this category followed by the Volkswagen Golf and BMW 3 Series in third place. Range Rover was the most preferred luxury car while the Mercedes Benz SL550 came in second place and BME 6 Series took the third prize in this category.

Where Sports cars were concerned, Porsche Boxster S was an undisputed winner followed by Audi RS5 and third place was shared by Toyota 86/Subaru BRZ. Mazda CX5 was in first place in SUV category while Hyundai Santa Fe came in second and Nissan Pathfinder came in third. The presentation ceremony will take place in London in early October.
