Jeep has unveiled four new design concepts for the 2014 Beijing Motor Show, each of which draw inspiration from Jeep production models with accents inspired by the Chinese culture and style. The one we are going to discuss here, is the Jeep Zi You Xia Design Concept aboard the new Renegade compact luxury SUV. Zi You Xia means Rebel in Mandarin and draws inspiration from the colors of the National Center for Performing Arts in Beijing.

Roof panel, grille surrounds and door mirror caps are finished in a contrasting dark charcoal while the concept sits on 20” alloy wheels in dark anodized bronze.

Interiors are crafted with high quality material and sport various design elements and based on Piano Black accents seen on A pillars and headliners. An anodized copper finish is seen on air vents, speaker bezels and gear shifters as also on steering wheel, cup holders and door handles. Seats and door panels are upholstered in gray and black plain fabric.

The new Jeep Renegade is touted as the most capable SUV and first to be seen with a 9 speed automatic transmission. It will be produced for global markets and will come in with a total of 16 powertrain combinations, which are the most to be seen on any Jeep vehicle.
