2014 Lavasa Women’s Drive says HAT’S OFF on 22nd February

Participants spread awareness about various issues affecting with social messages displayed on their cars. The Drive will be flagged off from Mumbai and Pune on 22nd February 2014 in the morning and participants have to drive to Lavasa with the help of Tulip Chart. Each car needs a minimum of 2 women participants in the form of Driver and Navigator.

Huge participation enthusiasm is given a lease of life through fair selection, which works on a referral system has been put in place. Those generating max number of votes will drive to Lavasa. Past editions have seen over 7000 women collectively generate more than 27 lakh votes for women over 93 countries.

The drive has always captured multiple aspects – the fun, adventure and spirit of the Indian woman combined with her passion for social causes. For the first time the Drive will also see international participation. Women from neighboring countries are travelling to Mumbai and Pune to participate. Flagship events like Lavasa Women’s Drive have helped spread awareness about Lavasa in India and the globe.”

Lavasa Women’s Drive, a JV of Lavasa Corporation Limited and Times Group supports Women’s Cancer prevention through detection. A large part of money collected through registration, is donated to Women’s Cancer Initiative – Tata Memorial Hospital. This year, a health camp will be organized for preliminary check-ups, by the Women’s Cancer Initiative-Tata Memorial Hospital on 7th and 8th February, 2014 at Lavasa.
