Royal Enfield Rider Mania this year was the biggest ever with over 5000 participants

With a record participation of 5000 individuals, 2014 edition of Royal Enfield Rider Mania is the biggest ever with riders and biking clubs converging from all over the world to take part in an action packed weekend.

The yearly event saw more music, mirth and a host of competitions being held over three days which include karaoke, slow racing and assembly wars on the first day followed by dirt racing, carry your bike and hula toss on day two. Day three on 23rd November included competitions such as cleanest bike, race your buddy, beer drinking and arm wrestling.

Dirt Track Race saw participants in special race tuned motorcycles tackle the dusty and uneven terrains. 500 cc category it was Guy Martin, a well known British racer who won the race while astride on a Bullet 500. Rohan Patil won in the 350 cc segment while in ladies category it was Urvashi Patole who won. Mr Satyam was a winner in Trial events. Gunner 540 from Bulleteer Customs was declared the Best Custom Bike while Most Popular Custom Bike went to Squadron from Road Rage Customs.

Various prominent riders conducted workshops at the Long Distance Riders Forum, to share their experiences while travelling across the globe. Jonathan Gibson was among those who spoke of their experiences. He is currently riding from Sydney to London on a 1969 Royal Enfield motorcycle. The event concluded with an award ceremony wherein popular fusion band Swarathma and Nucleya were in attendance along with other artists such as Vir Das & Alien Chutney, Papon & East India Company and DJ Pearl.
