2014 Volkswagen Scirocco facelift with updated engine


Volkswagen has unveiled 2014 Scirocco facelift which will go on display at 2014 Geneva International Motor Show to be held from 6 – 16 March 2014. The model was seen with a host of cosmetic updates and engine modifications along with a total of five new exterior paints.

2014 Volkswagen Scirocco facelift gets external updates in the form of a new bumper design, bi-xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights and a new grille. At the rear are LED tail lights in a new design with a new bumper and boot lid. 2014 Volkswagen Scirocco is being offered in five exterior paint options to include Pyramid Gold, Urano Grey, Flash Red, Pure White and Ultra Violet.

2014 Volkswagen Scirocco facelift images (7)Interiors of 2014 Volkswagen Scirocco receive flat bottomed leather wrapped steering wheel, new air vents and gauges for oil temperature, chronometer and turbocharger pressure indications. The cabin also sportsĀ “Dynaudio Excite” audio system and ParkAssist system along with a storage compartment near its handbrake lever.

Under the hood, expect to see four cylinder turbocharged gasoline and diesel engines with improved power and performance and meeting new EU6 emission standards. Petrol engine options will include a 1.4 liter TSI engine delivering 125 ps while a 2.0 liter TSI will come in varying performance figures of 180 ps, 220 ps, and 280 ps. Diesel engine in the form of a 2.0 liter TDI will receive 150 ps and 184 ps rating. All engines will be mated to 6 speed manual or dual clutch gearbox.

Launch is slated from mid August in Europe, while launch in other markets of China, Argentina, Turkey, Australia, Russia and South Korea will follow soon after.
